Born on 1.10.1921.  Educated at  M.B.High  School, New Delhi, Hindu College, Delhi,  Faculty  of  Law, University of Delhi; University  College,  London, Gray's Inn, London,  Enrolled  Advocate  on 16.1.1947.  Did Civil and Criminal work.  Part time Lecturer in the  Faculty  of Law, Delhi, for  about  ten  years.    Additional  Public Prosecutor, Delhi, 1.9.1960.   Public  Prosecutor,  Delhi, 1.9.1964 and Additional Standing Counsel, Delhi, 1.9.1967.  Appointed  Additional  Judge  of  Delhi  High  Court  from 30.7.1969  and  permanent  Judge  on   4.11.1970   (A.N.). Transferred  to  Himachal Pradesh High Court on 23.11.1979(A.N.) and appointed as Acting Chief Justice of the  High Court  on  24.11.1979  and  Chief Justice from 12.12.1979. Retired on 01.10.1983.
