Born on 3rd November, 1942. Enrolled as an advocate on 18th September, 1964. Practiced before District Courts and High Court of Delhi in Civil matters for six years. Joined Himachal Pradesh Judicial Service on 31st December, 1970 as Sub Judge cum Judicial Magistrate. Promoted to Himachal Pradesh Higher Judicial Service on 7th June, 1979. Worked as Additional District Judge,  Registrar (Vigilance) and  Registrar, High Court of Himachal Pradesh from 25th August, 1981. Appointed as Additional Law Officer and thereafter as Joint Secretary cum Law Officer in the Law Commission of India, New Delhi from 10th August,1987 to 31st July,1990.  On repatriation from deputation work as  District and Sessions Judge  from 01.08.1990 to 29.11.1995. Appointed as Additional Judge of the Himachal Pradesh High Court from 30th November, 1995 and permanent Judge from  2nd February, 1999. Retired on 2nd November, 2004.
