Born
on 9.10.1936. Practised as advocate on civil, criminal and revenue side
from 1959 to 1966 at Nurpur and
Dharamshala. Joined Punjab
Judicial Service in
March, 1966 and after about 6-7 months, was allocated to Himachal Pradesh
of the Reorganisation of Punjab in November, 1966. Promoted to Himachal
Pradesh Higher Judicial Service
in February, 1979. Worked as
Additional District
and Sessions Judge, as Secretary, Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha,
on deputation and as
District and Sessions Judge. Worked as Legal Remembrancer cum-Secretary (Law) to
the Government of HImachal Pradesh
at Shimla. Worked as
Presiding Officer,
Labour Court/Industrial Tribunal, Himachal Pradesh at
Shimla and
Judge, Employees State Insurance Court, Himachal
Pradesh, Shimla.
Worked as Registrar, Himachal Pradesh High Court at
Shimla. Appointed as Additional Judge of the HImachal Pradesh High
Court from 12.9.1995 and transferred
to Allahabad
High Court from 29.9.1995. Appointed as permanent Judge of the
Allahabad High Court on 11.9.1997. Retired
on 9.10.1998.
