ADMINISTRATIVE SET UP
The District and Sessions Judge, a member of Himachal Pradesh Higher Judicial Services, is the head of Sirmaur Civil and Sessions Division. District and Sessions Judge is the controlling Officer in respect of Class-I (Supdt.Grade-I) , Class-II (Supdt. Grade-II and Personal Assistant), Class-III and Clas-IV establishment of all the seven Courts functioning in Sirmaur Civil and Sessions Division. He is the appointing and the disciplinary authority inrespect of Class-II, Class-III and Class-IV, employees of all the seven Courts of the Sirmaur District. Every Presiding Officer is the drawing and disbursing Officer inrespect of his own court. The District and Sessions Judge is also controlling Officer for the purpose of T.A. and Medical Reimbursement claims inrespect of the Judicial Officers of Sirmaur Civil and Sessions Division except the Additional District and Sessions Judge. For the purpose of administrative work, all the Judicial Officers work under the control of District and Sessions Judge. Superintendent of each Court assists the Presiding Officer in administrative matters. He also deals such matters including submission of various returns/statements to the Hon’ble High Court of H.P., District and Sessions Judge and other offices. He is the chief of ministerial staff.
Superintendent Grade-I in the office of District and Sessions Judge is a Gazzetted Class-I. All the administrative work of entire Civil and Sessions Division is looked after by him. English Clerk (Senior Assistant) in the establishment of District and Sessions Judge deals such matters initially. Account matters/ Civil Code Deposits are looked after by the Civil Nazir. All the transfers and postings of Class-II, III, and IV officials of the Division are ordered by the District and Sessions Judge. The Superintendent Grade-I is a state cadre post and his transfer/posting is ordered by Hon’ble High Court of H.P.
The Process serving agency is with the Court of Civil Judge (Sr. Division)-cum-C.J.M., Nahan and Civil Nazir of that court is the incharge of the agency, who works under the supervision of Superintendent Grade-II and control of the Presiding Officer.
